The club is still young compared to legacy of rotary in the country, but it has number of dedicated members whose effort and cooperation ensures that the club achieve its targets and take the club to the next heights.

Rotary Club of Dhaka Mega City is one of the vibrant, active and community service-oriented club of RI District 64. Our RCC village Taluk Nagar at Manikgonj becomes a model village for rotary by implementing a 120 feet long bridge to benefit more than 5000 people; ensured 100% pure drinking water and sanitary latrine, Comfort center for High School girls, rotary ‘mehmankhana’, tree plantation, gardening, fish fry release, food distribution, recognition to freedom fighters etc. We are committed to continue and do more for this village and wish to initiate another RCC village in RY 2024-25. Besides RCC village, Mega City also implementing many service projects at various parts of the country regularly. Megacity implemented 128 projects in RY 2018-19, 60-70 projects in RY 2019-20 & 2020-21, 100 projects in RY 2021-22, 140 projects in RY 2022-23, 130 projects in RY 2023-24 and already 106 projects completed RY 2024-25 up to December 2024. We are committed to continue this trend in future also.

Mega City has already registered a global grant project to establish a hospital namely “Gaffar-Moni-Alam Mega City Rotary Hospital’ at Duburia, Tangail.

The additional new areas of focus of the club are “Income Generating Projects’ by donating three wheelers, cows with calf, goat and set us small shops/tea stall etc. to create regular earning source for the subject. We wish to continue our regular projects e.g., educational support to poor students, medical aid, wheelchair distribution, distribution of winter clothing, tree plantation, energy saving LED light, eco-friendly Jute bag, donation regular basis for abandon child care and distribute kid’s food item also etc. We used to organize 6 to 7 eye camp and/or medical camp every Rotary year in remote locations. We are also participating joint projects with other clubs and institutions. We are committed to serve humanity and the less privileged people of our society and will do our best to bring smile on their faces.

Dhaka Mega City is the sponsor of Rotary Club of Baridhara Sunrise and Rotaract Club of Dhaka Mega City North.

Dhaka Mega City is already an all-PHF club. We want to increase the membership by 10%-25% every year, though the club is very selective in choosing new members. Mega City prefers professionally qualified personnel from the society to become the member of the club who maintain the mindset of serving the community apart from fellowship. The club is committed to maintain a high ethical standard in all its activities.
