1. Water and Sanitation (6 Projects): We have donated total ten tube wells, renovated one public toilet, and maintained two comfort centers built by the club in earlier years.
2. Economic and Community Development (112 Projects): Our club actively engaged with the community by organizing projects with tangible and positive impact on countless lives. We initiated projects that promoted entrepreneurship and supported small businesses in our community. We put highest focus on income generating projects so that beneficiaries of the projects can earn their own bread and butter and become solvent. We have provided small business capital, donated 10 vans/rickshaws, 5 dairy cows, 45+ goats etc. during the year. Mega City implemented ‘sustainable irrigation project’ in the second half of RY22-23 where irrigation facility was created for 70 farmers covering 50 acres of land. Farmers will run this independently in future years. RCDMC also took an initiative to reconstruct the Taluknagar High School Masjid upon request from the School Managing Committee at an estimated cost of Taka Thirty-Five Lacs. RCDMC took an initiative to develop an RCC center at RCC village Taluknagar Manikgonj. The center will be constructed gradually over the next few years.
3. Maternal & Child Health (18 Projects): The Club supported ‘Sonamoni Nibash, an Abandoned Children Home at Azimpur Dhaka under the Ministry of Social Welfare GoB since 2018. During RY22-23, we provided monthly salary for nursing staff for the infants, provided food, milk-powder, diaper, toys etc. for the kids round the year.
4. Supporting the Environment (12 Projects): Our dedication to environmental sustainability was evident through tree-planting initiatives, clean-up drives, releasing cage birds to nature, and advocacy for eco-friendly agriculture, contributing to a cleaner and greener country etc.
5. Basic Education and Literacy (31 projects): We continued our steadfast support for education, ensuring that underprivileged students have access to quality education. This included supporting underprivileged children's education by providing SSC exam fees/tuition fees, donating books for students/libraries, sponsoring scholarships, supplying essential school materials etc. We have donated 30 Laptops at different schools at Lakshmipur, Dhaka and Manikganj. ‘Siemens Energy Bangladesh’ donated the laptops, whereas Dhaka Mega City identified the requirement and supported execution of the project.
6. Disease Prevention and Treatment (41 Projects): We provided healthcare access to marginalized communities via emergency financial support for treatment & disease prevention, facilitate surgery, financial assistance to elderly persons and physically challenged children for medicine, distributed wheelchairs, diabetic test camp, raised awareness about critical health issues within our community. Collaborating with local institutions allowed us to provide much-needed medical services to those in need.
7. Peace and Conflict Resolution (2 Projects): Through peace-building initiatives and dialogues, we worked diligently to foster understanding and resolve conflicts at RCC village, contributing to a more harmonious society.
